Sharon (4/9/17)

Sharon (DOB: 4/9/17) is a sweet and warm-hearted girl whose friendly nature and gentle smile brighten the lives of those around her. Sharon’s mother works as a maid, providing the only stable source of income, while her father, a daily wage laborer, finds work only about 10 to 15 days a month. Due to their low income, they cannot afford to live in their own home and instead live with Sharon’s grandmother. The small house is shared by nine family members. On top of extremely difficult living conditions, they face scarcity of water, making daily life even more challenging. Sharon and her brother were initially studying in their hometown, but due to financial struggles, and a lack of employment opportunities, the family moved to Bangalore for a better livelihood. However, the transition came at a great cost as both Sharon and her brother, Salomon, had to discontinue their education due to their family’s financial instability.
