It started with a vision
to serve the poorest people
1987
A renewed life
It all began with a near-fatal motorcycle accident. John was given hours to live. He pleaded with God to save his life. He reconciled with God and dedicated his life to serving the poor. Ever since, John's passion has been unrelenting.
1988
Community Transformation Program established
The first effort to bring grassroot leaders together to unify and strengthen their efforts in reaching the poor is established with the purpose of transforming communities.
1992
India Transformed! is launched
A partnership is formed between two brothers, Indian founder John and American pastor Don after John delivers on a challenge to serve the poor. India Transformed! becomes a registered 501 (c)(3) charity.
1997
Children's Program inaugurated
Responding to an emergency call in the middle of the night, John rescues 36 abandoned street children. He rents a two-room house to house the orphans. Today these children now have families of their own to support with meaningful careers.
2001
First School opened
These rescued children desperately needed a school that would accommodate their emotional needs and develop their social skills. The first school opened to educate the orphans, and nearby poor students flocked to the school to get an education.

2001
Women's ARISE! Program started
On her way home, John's wife rescued six street women. She developed a mentoring and training program to teach them literacy and business skills. This included the preparation and selling of food items and learning sewing skills. This program has trained over 1,600 women.

2012
Private International School dedicated
Donors provided funding to purchase land and build a private school for pre-K through 10th grade students. A blended community of students enroll from all backgrounds and faiths to attend this distinguished school.

2021
Pre-University Program launched
Permission was granted to add grades 11 and 12 to the existing school and the building was expanded. The school is now able to take students all the way through 12th grade, preparing them for college. Today's enrollment stands at 1,100 students.

2021
Land Purchased to Build a College
Through a generous gift, John's long-term vision to build an affordable college came to fruition through the purchase of three acres of land. The college started with online learning during the pandemic. Needs-based scholarships allow students to attend from poor communities.
2023-2026
Private College
Groundbreaking ceremonies initiated the construction process in early 2023. Construction is scheduled to be completed by 2026. Eventually the college will enroll over 900 students and prepare them to enter high-demand careers in nursing, engineering, science, computers, and journalism.
