Anjali (DOB: 10/31/18) is a sweet girl who lives with her family and her four-year-old sister in a fragile makeshift tent made of straw and plastic. This humble shelter offers little protection against the elements. During the rainy season their home becomes drenched, forcing them to rebuild repeatedly. Without electricity, water, drainage, or transportation, their daily lives are filled with hardship, and the nights are spent in complete darkness, with no streetlights to guide them. Despite these struggles, Anjali remains full of life. She loves to play with her friends and works diligently in her studies, always striving to do her best. Her dream is to become a police officer and serve her country, showing the strength and courage that lies within her. Anjali's parents work tirelessly to provide for their children. Their only source of income is from selling recycled plastic items. It is with great difficulty that they try to meet the basic needs of Anjali and her sister.
