Dhanushri (2/2/17)

Dhanushri (DOB: 2/2/17) is a bright student who scores good marks in all her subjects and is first in her class. She enjoys learning and takes her studies seriously. After school, she loves playing with her neighborhood friends and her brothers. She enjoys singing songs and dancing along, drawing and coloring are along among her favorite activities. At home, she helps her mother with cooking and other household chores. She shares a close bond with her grandmother and loves sleeping beside her. She is also fond of dogs and enjoys caring for them. Dhanushri dreams of becoming a nurse someday. However, her family situation is very challenging. Her father works as an operator in a shoe factory and earns around $3 per day, but he struggles with alcoholism and does not consistently provide for the family’s needs. Much of his income is spent on his alcoholic addiction. Dhanushri’s mother has a hearing and speech impairment and also has some eye-related problems which limits her ability to work. The family lives in her grandparents’ small house and faces ongoing financial and emotional difficulties. With proper support and encouragement, Dhanushri can continue her education and move closer to her dream of becoming a nurse.
