Sabarish (PKL)

The poor financial situation of his family could have left Sabarish needing to drop out of school, but he was determined to continue. Sabarish has an older sister and brother. Along with their parents, the family lives in a small impoverished hut that’s built out of rudimentary stones, mud, and has a palm leaf rooftop. The child’s father is a laborer for daily wages and does casual labor jobs in the market during off-seasons. The mother works for three months a year under the 100 days’ work scheme of the government and on average, the parents earn $50.00 to $60.00 a month which is the bare minimum to meet basic needs like food, clothing, and health care. Sabarish will be excited to be a part sponsorship program and to have a sponsor parent to support him. This support will no doubt give him the inner strength to soar high when it comes to making good progress in school and life.
