Prasanna (1/9/18)

Prasanna (DOB: 1/9/18) is the third of four siblings. Prasanna lives with her family of five in a makeshift tent with no access to basic facilities such as clean water, toilets, drainage or electricity. The open drainage near their home poses a serious health hazard. Due to their poor living conditions in the slum, the family is frequently affected by illness and skin infections. Both of Prasanna’s parents work as vendors, selling recycled plastic items for a very minimal wage, making it difficult to provide for their children’s basic needs. Despite these challenges, Prasanna is a calm, cheerful, and obedient child. She is smart, bold, and enjoys attending school. She is passionate about athletics and loves to sing. Prasanna aspires to become a doctor and serve her community.
