Jagan (DOB: 8/30/08) is one of seven children in a family battling the harsh realities of poverty every single day. For his parents, daily wage laborers, raising so many children while living in a temporary shelter is an uphill struggle filled with uncertainty, sacrifice, and unrelenting hardship. Previously supported by a kind sponsor, Jagan’s journey took a difficult turn when that support had to come to an end. Now, he is once again in need of someone to stand by him. Each day, Jagan walks a mile to attend the local government school. At home, he often gives up meals so his younger siblings can eat. With so many mouths to feed, his parents are unable to provide even the basic necessities, let alone ensure proper nutrition or consistent education.
