Henry (5/24/20)

Henry (DOB: 5/24/20) is kind and affectionate. He loves to swim and play soccer. Henry comes from a close-knit family: his parents, two older sisters and an older brother. In 2023, Henry’s family experienced a life-changing hardship when the ethnic conflict in Manipur forced them to leave their home and seek shelter with relatives in Nagaland. The family later moved to Bangalore where his father found work as a driver and better educational opportunities for their children. Henry’s mother is a homemaker who also takes up tailoring work from home whenever possible to supplement the family’s income. Although Henry is slowly adjusting to life in Bangalore, he deeply misses his grandparents and often talks about them. Being away from his hometown and loved ones has been difficult for him, and he looks forward to the day he can visit them again. Despite these challenges, Henry continues to face life with a cheerful heart, adapting to his new surroundings and enjoying every opportunity to learn and grow.
